Start with the visible textile surfaces
The fastest way to assess an interior is to look at the textile surfaces guests touch and see first: salon seating, cushions, carpets, cabin mattresses, headboards and soft furnishings.
These areas absorb use, humidity, sunscreen, food traces, guest traffic and general seasonal fatigue. A clean surface does not need to look new, but it should look cared for, fresh and consistent with the yacht standard.
Check salons, cabins and high-use walkways
Salon carpets, cabin carpets and corridors usually show wear before other areas. Even small marks can stand out strongly in a premium interior, especially under natural light.
Cabins need a separate check because mattress freshness and textile odours affect comfort directly. Guests may not comment immediately, but they notice. Humans are oddly sensitive when paying charter money.
Use photos for fast assessment
A photo-based assessment is useful when timing is tight. Send wide photos for context, close-up photos of stains or worn areas, and details about the yacht location and desired timing.
Mr. Rocchini, owner of NuvolaCleaning, can then provide a first practical evaluation and suggest whether upholstery, carpet or mattress cleaning should be prioritised before boarding.
